Year 4 at Minstead Day 2

The children were full of energy this morning after a hearty breakfast, learning about the origins of a Tenga stick and the importance of biodiversity.

They split into two groups for the morning and afternoon, learning about what animals need to be cared for properly (chickens and sheep), the uses of sheep's wool, as well as picking red and blackcurrants in the fruit cage and doing some digging and uprooting of old plants to put on the compost heap. They also made some delightful clay sculptures - pictures to follow. Another busy day had by all, to be topped off tonight with a sing-song around the campfire and hot chocolate, before an early night ready for the return home tomorrow.
