These are exciting times for Years 3 and 4 as Forest School has officially started at St Augustine's! Every Friday for the next 5 weeks, leaders from Dorset Forest School Maddie and Loretta will be working with the children to develop their knowledge of the outside world.
As you can see from the photos, Year 3 have already started, learning about Neolithic communities in the area, handling flint hand axes, making bows and arrows, and much more! This week, the children will be applying "daub" covering to their roundhouses made from sticks, in order to make them weatherproof. They will also make clay pots using the same techniques that ancient people would have used.
The children are really enjoying it and using their prior learning about Celts and Romans - well done Year 3 Tigers!
