Festival of Remembrance

Children took part in the the Festival of Remembrance held in the Weymouth Pavilion on Sunday 4th November.  The aim of the Festival of Remembrance is to commemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflicts.  This is especially poignant as it's the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War.

The children took part in a singing performance, dressed up as evacuees.  The choir group, run by Mrs Ayles, sang three songs and then took part in a finale act singing variety of war remembrance songs. Well done to Mrs Ayles and the children who took part, and to Mrs Wilkins and Mrs Me-In who gave up their Sunday. All of the children said that they really enjoyed preforming on stage in front of an audience.
