Year 5 and 6 attend the BETT show

On Friday 24th January four pupils from each of Year 5 and Year 6 attended the BETT (British Education Technology and Training) Show in the ExCel centre in London, accompanied by Mr Lobo and Mr Tuson.

The children supported Mr Lobo's talk on the eSchools stand by telling the interested onlookers of their use of eSchools messaging and blogging, following which they were asked to speak on the BETT Fujitsu radio station and were also videoed.  The radio interview can be found at https://soundcloud.com/russellprue/toshiba-radio-friday-at?in=russellprue/sets/toshiba-radio starting at 20:10.

They then had a look around the stands, tried the educatonal software and picked up some sweets and chocolate on the way.  All the stands welcomed a group of well behaved children, especially the stand of the education department of the United Arab Emirates.

The children arrived back at Weymouth station at 11pm, tired but having enjoyed their day out.

An article about the visit can now be found on the Dorset Echo site at http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/10998976.Getting_to_grips_with_information_technology/
