Some children from Year 4 entered a writing competition organised by the outgoing mayor of Weymouth, Kate Wheller. They were lucky enough to win a special award from the Mayor for environmental awareness, as well as an individual prize! The Mayor commented how impressed she had been with the high standard of writing and the original ideas contained within the letters, which detailed what the children enjoyed about living in Weymouth and Portland, and how they imagined the future of the area in 30 year's time.
