The Parish Newsletter

Our contribution to the Parish Newsletter - 4th February 2021
Last week marked the end of our Local Church topic. The children in each class joined with their friends at home for a virtual class liturgy. Some of our parents participated too and it was touching to see that how despite not all being together at this time, we can still worship together in this powerful way.
This week our work on the Eucharist begins, with each class studying a different aspect of the topic. Our daily live lessons allow us to engage with all our children and to see the wonderful work going on at home as well as at school.
This week is Children's Mental Health Week. Every class in the school is accessing resources to help us mark this very important event with our children in school and our students and families at home. The theme this year is 'Express Yourself.' We have dedicated one afternoon to allowing the children to express themselves in different ways such as through their art, dance or creative work. We feel that at this time particularly, mental health is paramount and we hope that by supplementing our PSHE lessons with Mental Wellbeing activities we will be able to help our children and their families.
