Year 5 Class Assembly

3rd October 2018

Year 5 performed their assembly to their parents and the school on Wednesday.

It was all about the Evacuation of children during World War II. There were sketches about packing their cases, leaving their parents behind and arriving in the countryside. The children astounded everyone with the amount they have already learnt about this period in history. They also sang 2 songs from the 1940s – ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’ and ‘Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run’

All of this was performed in clothes that they had put together to reflect the time.

Well Done Year 5 – you wrote and performed an amazing assembly.
