5th October 2017
We have enjoyed a busy Harvest week at school.
Bea Taylor from CAFOD launched our week with an assembly on Monday about the work of CAFOD in helping farmers in El Salvador. She also spoke of the ways that we can help others.
On Tuesday, Deacon Geoffrey led a liturgy about the importance of caring for one another.
Reception's assembly on Wednesday had a harvest theme and the children shared prayers and songs, thanking God for the Harvest.
On Thursday the children in the school donated food produce to share with members of the local community. The fresh produce will go to Soul Food and the tinned produce to the Lantern in Weymouth.
In the afternoon, we had a lovely harvest liturgy led by Year 4 and Deacon Geoffrey.
The children led us in prayers and readings as we again gave thanks for God's creation and all the gifts of Creation.
