Dorset Fire Service

18th October 2017
On Wednesday 18th October, the children in the Infant classes had an amazing visit from the Dorset Fire Service. The children had an enriching morning as they were taught about fire safety and very importantly, what to do if there were a fire. Some of the children were then given the chance to enact scenes and to dress up as firefighters.

The Fire safety talks were followed by a visit from the fire engine. The children were shown around the engine and had the chance to sit up in the driver's cab. They also had a go at helping the firefighters operate the water hoses.

It was a super opportunity for the children and the follow up work that took place showed that the children learned so much from this brilliant visit.
